Update - The issue that caused degraded backup performance for Office 365 backup jobs has been successfully mitigated with corrective and preventative measures. So far we have observed performance returning to expected levels.
We will continue to monitor the environment closely for the next 24 hours, but no further impact to backup performance is expected at this time.
